See what we have been learning this year.
After going on a walk around our local area we created our own maps in our different learning areas.
We explored Wrexham and created a class book to show all of the wonderful things about Wrexham. We looked at the Parish Church, Cae Ras, Erddig and Ty Mawr.
In Autumn term 2 we discovered a dragon’s egg in our outdoor area! We found out it was from a ‘Ddraig Coch’. We created lots of wonderful art work and writing all about this mythical creature.
Our Spring topic was ‘Tomorrow’s World’. We talked about our dreams for the future and took part in Ysgol Tan-y-Fron’s career week to explore different jobs. We explored being builders and using our Maths skills to measure and estimate.
We worked at the Siop Dillad and practised our money skills and our Welsh vocabulary.
We took part in Firefighters training! We worked together to create different obstacle courses in our outdoor area and took it in turns to complete the obstacle course!
In the Spring term we celebrated ‘Dydd Miwsig Cymru’ and listened and performed to lots of wonderful Welsh music.
In March we celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as our favourite book characters. For this special World Book day every class in school explored the stories of a different country. We looked at stories from Japan and read the story of ‘Yoshi the Stone Cutter’.
We raised money for Red Nose Day by taking part in a ‘Crazy hair day’!
