See what we have been learning this year.
We explored the story of ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ We explored the characters and wrote our own character description, created our own masks and acted out the story and we even put on an amazing performance for the children in ‘Acorns’ and ‘Oaks’.
We read the story of Goldilocks and the three bears. We tasted different flavours of porridge and made choices about our favourite flavour. We designed new logos for the Bears porridge company and worked hard in the construction area to create new beds for the three bears.
In our Autumn 2 term, we have enjoyed exploring Superheroes and have created our own characters and masks.
To end our topic of ‘Heroes and Villains’ we had an exciting visit from the police. We got to explore the police van and ask lots of questions about the role of a police officer.
In March we celebrated our life long love for reading when we dressed as our favourite book characters for World Book day. We all enjoyed reading our favourite books and worked with the older children to create artwork inspired by a whole school book.
We enjoyed exploring Chinese New Year. We learnt how to write our names and created some wonderful Chinese dragons too!
In the Spring term we held a competition to create a Croeso poster for our classroom. Congratulations to our three winners. These will be displayed around our classroom to welcome visitors.
As part of our summer term topic ‘Healthy me’ we have been learning to look after our bodies. We created a teddy bear hospital where we could look after our poorly patients from home.
